As a reformed church, we firmly adhere to the Reformed and Calvinistic teachings as found in the Holy Scriptures.  We are committed to the principal of sola scriptura, believing that God's Word is certainly the only rule of faith and practice (2 Timothy 3:16, 17).  We also affirm the Biblical doctrines of total depravity unconditional election, particular redemption, irresistible grace and the perseverance of the saints, though this is understood not to be the full content of Biblical Christian truth.  We believe that we are a part of that universal covenantal community of which the Scriptures describe and agree that this community is justified by faith alone.

As a Presbyterian church, we believe that God's Word reveals that the church is to be ruled by a plurality of elders (Exodus 24, Acts 15).  We confirm our Presbyterian church polity in our membership in the Korean American Presbyterian Church (KAPC).  As a church of the KAPC we hold to the Westminster Confession of Faith and the Westminster Larger and Shorter Catechisms.

We believe that a church is the covenant community of God, living in this world, all the while recognizing our hope in the kingdom to come.  We therefore confess our citizenship to that kingdom, living in this world as pilgrims, or "sojourners" in a foreign land.

This community is where the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ is lived out in concrete ways.  This is where grace, love, and accountability move from ideas to reality in a covenantal and committed practice.

We believe that building community takes commitment and involvement in one another's lives.  we are called to live in such a community and make clear to the world the visible presence of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
